Follow-up activities Print Email this page

For the ultimate success of the evaluation process, it is important that the process does not end with the final evaluation report. The crucial form of follow-up is what happens within the evaluated institution after the IEP evaluation. In this regard, following the voluntary nature of the Programme and the principle of institutional autonomy, the institutions are free to implement (or not) the recommendations.

In addition, after an institution has participated in the Institutional Evaluation Programme, it will automatically become eligible for a follow-up evaluation one to three years later. At the request of the institution, IEP will form a team of four evaluators (two of whom participated in the original evaluation) to conduct a follow-up evaluation to identify the impact that the initial evaluation has had on the institution’s development, investigate the experiences gained from changes implemented after the initial evaluation, and give further impetus for change. The Guidelines for Follow-up Evaluationsoutline the goals and practical aspects of the optional follow-up.

Please contact the IEP Secretariat if you are interested in our follow-up activities.
